We are committed to improving our processes by creating products that are a mix of tradition and future while preserving the planet we all live in.

Primary use of less-water intensive variant of cotton called ‘Kala cotton’ Using upcycled materials throughout products including upcycled parachutes, milk cartons, etc. Using deadstock as part of every new collection. Ethically sourced and hand woven merino wool.

All materials are procured ethically, and preferably directly from the source, such as farmers.

Garments, especially knits are made-to-order by our all women’s team in Kullu, India, to avoid over production and wastage of resources.

Co-creators such as tailors and pattern masters to be paid fair wages and treated in line with labour laws. Finished garments to be packaged in recycled gunny bags, and strictly avoid usage of one-time use plastic in the entire production process.

To encourage longevity of garments, consumers are encouraged to return garments to us after 3-5 years, so that the garments can be deconstructed and  reused as raw material for future collections. This comes under our Regeneration Programme.

Margn believes in an all-round approach towards sustainability which includes people, processes, resources and planet.

For us, community, humanity and people come first. We collaborate with smaller, local communities rather than with large corporations. It is a symbiotic relationship between us locals, learning from and uplifting each other.

There is no hierarchy. Our business model is based on co-creation. Thus, fair and on-time payment along with ethical treatment and a safe work environment is ensured to all co-creators and collaborators in the entire supply chain.

We do not support any kind of child labour, slavery or unethical treatment of human beings or animals.

From sourcing of raw materials to delivery of product, we try to avoid using single-use plastic. All our products are transported in upcycled gunny bag packaging. By 2025, we aim to recycle/upcycle/regenerate all our studio materials by 70-100%. We source all our raw materials locally.

With our Regeneration Programme (full life cycle approach) which opens up in February 2024, we aim to keep reducing our carbon footprint.

We are not perfect but we consider preserving our planet to be our guiding path since our inception in 2020. All the above processes help us save our environment and its biodiversity.
